STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday received famous American hepatologist Robert Gish.

Hepatology development, liver disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment in NKR were discussed during the meeting.

President Sahakyan stressed the importance of this domain for Artsakh and underscored the cooperation with the leading countries and receiving their assistance in this process. In this context, training Artsakh doctors abroad was discussed, too.

NKR Minister of Health Zoya Lazaryan, and Armenia’s chief epidemiologist and Republican Infectious Clinical Hospital Director Ara Asoyan also attended the talk.
