YEREVAN. – The accreditation process of the higher education institutions of Armenia will greatly contribute to raising the competitiveness and international standing of the institutions of higher learning in the country.   

Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan noted the aforesaid during his talk with members of the International Expert Group on Quality Assurance, who have arrived in Armenia to conduct external evaluation at the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance foundation.   

The minister presented Armenia’s ongoing reforms in higher education. 

“We underscore the need to make the accreditation process, the quality of education, and the institutions of higher education in Armenia meet European standards and benchmarks for quality assurance,” Ashotyan noted.     

Welcoming such policy by the Government of Armenia, the visiting experts expressed their willingness to assist in the ongoing activities toward the accreditation of Armenia’s higher education institutions.
