YEREVAN. – According to preliminary data of the Armenian Embassy in Tehran, no Armenians have been killed or injured in a major car accident in Iran, spokesperson for Armenian MFA Tigran Balayan said on Twitter.

As reported earlier, 44 people were killed in a major car accident in Iran on Monday evening.

Two buses crashed into one another and caught fire on the highway linking capital Tehran with the city of Qom.
