YEREVAN. – Georgia is resolving domestic political issues, and there will be no changes in the country’s foreign policy, no matter who becomes president.

Georgian Studies specialist Johnny Melikyan noted the above-said, during a press conference on Tuesday, reflecting on the presidential elections that will be conducted in Georgia on October 27.

As per Melikyan, these elections will simply decide the matter of trust toward the country’s new authorities because if the Georgian Dream presidential candidate is not elected, this will show that they have not justified the people’s hopes.

“If unsuccessful, the coalition may not even have a common position and a domestic political crisis will arise,” the analyst noted.

He stressed that the main problem of Georgia’s new authorities is the fact that the people’s expectations were much greater than they actually were able to meet.
