The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is investigating corruption scandal involving Azerbaijan.

Officials from EBU are investigating claims that jury got bribes to vote for a certain contestant, The Independent writes. The sources claim Azerbaijan offered bribes to get high scores.

The event executive for EBU confirmed that Azerbaijan is under investigation.

Farid Mammadov was the second after vote losing only to Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest. Earlier Azerbaijan was accused of offering bribes to Lithuanian students. They were offered money to vote for Azerbaijani contestant.
