A world stair climbing championship was held in Vietnam.

The event brought together 250 athletes who ran up the stairs, and in four-member groups to avoid injuries and congestions.    

The participants had to negotiate a total of 2,000 stairs.

As a result, Thomas Dold of Germany was the most successful from among all participants. He managed to climb all the stairs in 9:14 minutes. Dold climbed all the way to the 72nd floor of the highest building in Hanoi city, Life News reports. 

The German athlete stated that he had trained a lot in his country. He noted that he plans to also take part in the running competitions to be held in Singapore and in Hong Kong. Thomas Dold added that he will train in Frankfurt, Germany, with his friends.
