STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Tuesday attended the official opening the new complex of the Republican Medical Center, in NKR capital city Stepanakert.

According to Sahakyan, the work of the country’s central medical institution will give a qualitatively new impetus to the health care development in Artsakh, and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases.

Bako Sahakyan expressed gratitude to philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan for constructing the new complex of the Republican Medical Center, and stressed that this endeavor is the best manifestation of patriotism and devotion to one’s own nation.

NKR’s second President Arkadi Ghukasyan, Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NKR NA Speaker Ashot Ghulyan, PM Ara Harutyunyan, British House of Lords member Baroness Caroline Cox, officials from Artsakh and Armenia, and numerous guests from abroad also were on hand at the official opening.
