YEREVAN. – The Armenian Apostolic Church will be consistent on the issue of returning the property lost in the Western Armenia and Cilicia, Archbishop Narek Alemezyan said.

It is necessary to consider the issue from a legal point of view, otherwise statements demanding the return of property of the Armenian Church are of a declarative character.

“We have to consider what steps we can take in this direction. Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I share the view that it is necessary to demand the property of the Armenian Apostolic Church from the government of Turkey,” Archbishop told reporters.
