YEREVAN. – It is not new that the number of people heading from Armenia to the Russian Federation (RF) has grown recently, Aravot daily reports.

“Considering that airplane ticket prices have risen recently and those of the buses are much cheaper, many people prefer to leave by bus.

“Until recently, the Russian customs at the RF border in Upper Lars used to give the visitors from Armenia an emigration card, whereby they were temporarily registered in the country’s territory and they returned it to the customs upon leaving the country.

“Recently, however, the customs is not issuing the said emigration cards, and the customs officers are not responding to any questions.

“We solely have managed to get unclear information that Moscow is no longer sending the cards to the customs,” Aravot writes.
