YEREVAN. – Armenian speaker had at least to voice the position of Heritage parliamentary group’s secretary before making a decision to remove Zaruhi Postanjyan from the PACE delegation.

Secretary of Heritage faction Ruben Hakobyan said the parliamentary groups are choosing the candidates to nominate them as members of the PACE delegation.

“On the other hand, under the Article 18 of the regulations of the National Assembly, the members of delegation are confirmed by Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan,” Hakobyan told reporters on Thursday.

Secretary of the opposition party’s group noted that the MPs have to decide themselves what questions they want to voice. At the same time Hakobyan said he would not ask such a question at PACE, not because of reluctance “to wash our dirty linen in public” but the fact that it would give ground for Europe to introduce sanctions against our country.
