Iran’s latest announcement on the settlement of the nuclear issue will be discussed in Geneva, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on Monday.

“I believe it will be discussed at the meeting in Geneva [, Switzerland,] next week, to which Iran has agreed,” Lavrov told news reporters.

To note, the next phase in the talks between the six international mediators (Russia, the United States, Great Britain, France, China, and Germany) and Iran will take place in Geneva on October 15 and 16, reports RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

As per the Russian FM, if everyone comes to understand that there is no threat from Iran, the US could change its stance with respect to missile defense. Lavrov stated this following his talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry.

“I believe once everyone comes to an agreement and unanimously believe that a threat no longer exists, these programs will be reviewed,” Sergei Lavrov noted, reports ITAR-TASS news agency of Russia.
