ETCHMIADZIN. – Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Saturday will head to the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhijevan. 

In Yekaterinburg city, the Catholicos will preside over the consecration ceremony of the newly built Saint Karapet Armenian Church.   

During his one-day trip, Karekin II will also meet with the representatives of regional and municipal authorities, informs the Information System of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. 

To note, the 37-meter high Saint Karapet Church was constructed owing to the philanthropy by Masis Nazaryan, head of the Armenian community in Yekaterinburg.
