YEREVAN. – Armenia attaches great importance to the further development and deepening of relations with Switzerland, including active cooperation within regional and international organizations.  

Armenian National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan noted the aforementioned Thursday during his talk with Switzerland’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Lukas Gasser. 

The NSC chief congratulated the ambassador for starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia, and wished him success in his future endeavors, informs the NSC press office.  

At the ambassador’s request, Baghdasaryan touched upon regional matters. In this context, he noted that Armenia remains committed to the precept of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict’s pacific settlement within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, and to the intention of establishing relations with Turkey without preconditions.    

The interlocutors discussed organizational matters related to the Armenian National Security Council secretary’s forthcoming visit to Switzerland.

In the end, the Swiss ambassador pledged to make efforts to strengthen and deepen relations between Armenia and Switzerland.
