YEREVAN.  – As of October 24, a total of 570 people have been released from the correctional facilities of the Armenian Ministry of Justice.

The convicts are set free under the amnesty that was proposed by President Serzh Sargsyan and subsequently declared by the National Assembly. 

To note, the amnesty was declared on October 3, and on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
