YEREVAN. – Armenian Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan labeled as “scandalous” anti-Armenian comments on Russia’s Channel One.

Russian authorities believe the comment is unacceptable and informed about it through the diplomatic channels.

“The voiced remark is a wish of the third state that was not fulfilled,” Kocharyan said.   

Earlier in her comments to the summit held in Minsk, Channel One news presenter Irada Zeynalova, Azerbaijani by origin, said the Customs Union was initially thought as a union of states performing equal obligations.

“And therefore Armenia’s willingness will remain a mere wish in short-term perspective  because of the unresolved territorial issue with Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh,” she said.
