YEREVAN. – Pursuant to the draft of the 2014 State Budget of Armenia, 80 billion drams is planned to be allocated to the Ministry of Health, and this amount is 8 billion drams more than last year’s allocation.

Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan stated the abovementioned during Friday’s National Assembly discussions devoted to the 2014 State Budget.

In his words, the physicians’ average monthly salary will be 178,000 drams, that of the medical staff will be 132,000 drams while the salaries of the service staff and the average medical personnel will make up 76,000 drams.

Safaryan stressed that they have also factored in the recent hikes in the natural gas and electricity prices, and therefore 121.8 million drams were added to the planned allocations.

To note, in line with the current exchange rate, USD 1 is equivalent to approximately AMD 405.
