STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan was on hand Saturday at the official opening of the newly built basic school in Hovsepavan village of NKR’s Askeran Region.

The President underscored the need to establish educational institutions that meet modern standards in Artsakh’s rural areas, informs the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

Sahakyan also stressed such educational facilities’ importance for the development of education and science and the improvement of the demographic situation in the countryside.

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghulyan and several other officials also attended the event.
