YEREVAN. – Armenia and Russia are continuing to hold talks on the price difference in the natural gas which Russia supplies to Armenia.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister of Armenia Armen Movsisyan stated the aforesaid at the National Assembly on Monday.

“Earlier, we were leaning toward an option according to which the Russian side were to subsidize a part of the price. [But] now, we are leaning toward another option about which we will notify later,” Movsisyan said.

The minister stressed that those talks were linked to Armenia’s plans of accession to the Customs Union. As per Movsisyan, when Armenia made such a decision, these negotiations had become ongoing and, now, they are coming to an end.

“This agreement should be signed very soon—before the New Year,” Armen Movsisyan added.
