YEREVAN. – A car accident occurred Monday on a highway in Kirov Oblast (Region), Russia

A UAZ-model jeep and a VAZ 2114-model vehicle crashed and, as a result, a fire broke out, informs the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.  

The rescuers removed five burnt bodies from the VAZ 2114, and two injured from the jeep.

Two of the dead were Armenian—Kristine Davtyan, 23, and Elena Davtyan, 48—and Russian Federation citizens.  

According to preliminary data, the UAZ driver was at fault, since he had driven onto the opposite lane.

The details of the incident are being ascertained.
