YEREVAN. – Along the lines of his official visit to the Russian Federation, Education and Science Minister of Armenia Armen Ashotyan met with Dmitry Livanov, RF Minister of Education and Science.

The interlocutors discussed the education- and science-related matters that were included in the protocol of the recent meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation between Russia and Armenia, informs the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science press service. 

Ashotyan and Livanov specifically explored the avenues for opening a Russian high school in Armenia, teaching the Armenian language at the public schools of Russia’s densely-Armenian-populated cities, opening Lomonosov Moscow State University’s branch in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, and granting Yerevan’s Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University the status of a scientific research university.
