YEREVAN. – Head of Yerevan OSCE office said any meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents is another step for the parties to reach understanding that all issues can be solved at negotiating table, not with the weapons on the border.

Andrey Soroking said the same thing happened when there was a initiative of the then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when the meetings of the presidents were held in Kazan and Sochi.

“Of course, I think, at least little information that I have received can not indicate that the conflict is resolved, and all the problems are solved, but any such meeting is an additional step in bringing the two sides to understand how to solve the problem,” Sorokin told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.

He stressed that not only Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also Europe and other countries do not need hostilities and a military conflict.

Asked about the possible shifts in the negotiation process, the head of OSCE Office said they hope for changes.

“At least, if at first it is possible to achieve withdrawal of snipers, it will be a shift in talks. Young people are dying and they have to live like you,” he emphasized.
