ALEPPO. – Several dozen military servicemen, including Armenian soldier Hagop Der-Ghazarian, were killed on November 17 in Syria’s capital city Damascus.

The soldiers were killed as a result of the opposition militants’ blowing up of two Syrian army buildings, informs the press service of the Diocese of Aleppo of the Armenian Apostolic Church

There was a building collapse as a result of the explosion.

But the dead body of Hagop Der-Ghazarian, who was born in 1988, was identified on Thursday, and solely after a DNA test, as the victims’ bodies were damaged beyond recognition.

To note, an Armenian woman was killed Tuesday in Aleppo’s Armenian-populated Azizieh District, and as a result of a rocket attack.
