YEREVAN. – Armenian Police have presented details on an incident that occurred on a capital city Yerevan street.

To note, a stabbing had occurred Thursday evening nearby a Yerevan supermarket. As a result, an ambulance staff had transferred Armen P., 37, to hospital.

The police had found out that an unidentified person had stabbed Armen P. in front of the supermarket and caused multiple injuries.

The law enforcement on Friday opened a respective criminal case.

Subsequently, the police found out that it was Ashot M. (born in 1973) who had caused severe bodily injuries to Armen P., but Ashot M. and his accomplices could not “finish off” the murder.

It was also found out that Ashot M. had left Armenia aboard a Yerevan-Vienna flight on Friday at 5:23am.

Owing to the measures taken by the Armenian Police and the Interpol, however, Ashot M. was detained at Vienna airport.
