YEREVAN. – On Sunday, December 1; that is, on World AIDS Day, the Armenian capital city Yerevan residents took voluntary and free HIV tests at Northern Avenue.    

The event was held within the framework of the “Be Tested and Live!” campaign. 

Earlier, the mobile testing laboratories were in Gegharkunik and Lori Regions for one week, and they conducted free check-up campaigns.  

According to the data by the Armenian National Center for AIDS Prevention, AIDS finds its way into Armenia primarily as a result of the returning Armenians that work abroad. 

The campaign at Northern Avenue was accompanied by a DJ concert, and the initiative members distributed information pamphlets to the passers-by.
