YEREVAN. – The information, which the Rescue Service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) had received, was a false alarm.  

No explosive device was found in the area, the MES informs. 

The subway entrance is now open, informs the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter. The rescuers have left the scene, solely two police cars have remained in the area, and the movement of people near the Presidential Palace is once again permitted.    

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, the Rescue Service had received information, on Monday at 10:38am, notifying that an explosive device was placed nearby the Marshal Baghramian subway station in capital city Yerevan. Fire and rescue squads, rapid reaction teams, ambulances and police units were dispatched to the scene. The rescuers had cordoned the entrance of the subway station and the area surrounding the Presidential Palace, and they had dispersed the people.
