YEREVAN. – The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, and the personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office met Wednesday in Ukrainian capital city Kyiv.

Following the private talk between Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov, Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Jacques Faure (France) and James Warlick (USA), and Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, joined them, informs the Armenian MFA press service.

In the context of the Armenia and Azerbaijan presidents’ talk that was held on November 19 in Austrian capital city Vienna, the co-chairs continued the discussions with the FMs in order to move the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process forward. The interlocutors exchanged views on the possible steps to reduce tension in the conflict zone.

The ministers and the co-chairs agreed to continue discussions in the coming weeks. The co-chairs expressed their intention to visit the region in a foreseeable future. 

Stressing the importance of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, the FMs thanked the co-chairs for their continuous efforts toward a pacific settlement to the conflict.
