Azerbaijan considered it necessary to intervene in the media spats, in connection with Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoğlu’s forthcoming visit to Armenia, and to remind official Ankara on “how it should behave.” 

Azerbaijani Deputy FM Khalaf Khalafov commented to reporters on Turkish media reports on the opening of borders with Armenia, reports APA news agency of Azerbaijan.

He said that Azerbaijan’s position in this regard is clear:

“Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity should be restored to resolve the conflict. Armenia takes non-constructive position on this issue. Armenia isn’t ready to resolve the issue yet. The reason for the lack of progress in peace process is the lack of political will of the opposite side.”
