YEREVAN. – The primary task of Armenia should be to see to it that we do not welcome the year 2015 [i.e., the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide] with the Armenian-Turkish Protocols.
Giro Manoyan, Head of the Political Affairs Bureau and the Armenian Cause Office of the Armenian opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday.
Manoyan commented on Armenia’s steps being taken toward the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
In his words, the Armenian-Turkish Protocols shall cease to exist before 2015 comes.
“This can happen if Armenia withdraws its signature [from the protocols].
“As a nation, we need to be able to form a single Armenian position before the year 2015, [and] from the perspective of the fulfillment of our rights and demands,” the ARF Dashnaktsutyun official stressed.
