YEREVAN. – Any attempts to link Armenia-Turkey normalization to other issues are senseless and unsuccessful, Armenia Foreign Minister said during the Thursday briefing (photos).   

Asked about Turkish media reports saying Ahmet Davutoglu will discuss Karabakh settlement in the context of Armenia-Turkey reconciliation process, Nalbandian said Armenia’s position is clear: Armenia-Turkey relation can be normalized without any preconditions.

“The attempts to link this to other issues or put forward preconditions are senseless and unsuccessful,” he said.

Edward Nalbandian said the meetings with the heads of BSEC delegations, including Turkish FM, are planned. The discussed issues will be made public after the meeting, he emphasized.

Ahmet Davutoğlu is in Yerevan to participate in the meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
