YEREVAN. – The consultations between the Armenian and the Russian state agencies, and concerning the reciprocal liberalization of the civil aviation and air communication sector of both countries, ended Tuesday in Moscow.     

A delegation from the Armenian Ministry of Economy on Monday traveled to the Russian capital city to hold consultations, the Ministry press service informs.

During Tuesday’s talks, the Russian party pointed to the Russian airline companies’ great interest in conducting more flights to Armenia.  

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol, pursuant to which relevant changes are made in the addendum of the agreement on cooperation, between the Armenian and the Russian governments, in the air communication sector.

In line with the protocol, a higher degree of liberalization will be put into affect in civil aviation and air communication between Armenia and Russia. As a result, the air carriers of the two countries will be able to expand the services they provide.
