YEREVAN. – Armenian police has no intention to be soft with drunk drivers on New Year’s Eve and during the holidays.

The Armenian police have issued a statement reporting about enhanced duty during the holidays.  The police called to refrain from driving even after having a small amount of alcohol.

Police simultaneously recalls the administrative responsibility for the use of pyrotechnic products. Under current law, the fine of AMD 100,000 is imposed for use of pyrotechnic products from 11pm to 7am.

The exception is the interval from 11pm on December 31 until 1am on January 1.
