YEREVAN. – Accession to the Customs Union is more advantageous to Armenia, economist Vardan Bostanjyan told reporters.

“Accession to the Union will definitely bring positive effects,” he emphasized.

The past experience shows that Armenia was one of the best in the economic area that the country intends to join, and Armenia’s progress was welcomed by partners in this space, the economist said.

President Serzh Sargsyan announced Armenia’s intention to join Customs Union during his trip to Moscow on September 3.  The roadmap of Armenia’s accession was approved during the December 24 meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
