Twelve people died and more than a dozen others were hurt in a trolleybus explosion in southern Russian city of Volgograd on Monday.  

A Volgograd Oblast (Region) administration press service representative told the aforementioned to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.  

According to verified data, twelve people were killed, and the area of the blast is blocked off. The nearby market likewise has been closed.    

Separately, and as Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, seventeen people died in a bombing at a railway station in Volgograd on Sunday. 

The blast was caused by a suicide bomber. 

Two Armenian women are among the injured in Sunday’s deadly bombing. One of these women is an Armenian citizen. Nina Harutyunyan (born in 1981) and Susanna Grigoryan (born in 1978) are among the injured.
