YEREVAN. – Suspicion of the presence of an explosive device on the territory of the U.S. Embassy appeared to be ungrounded.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia received information, on Monday at 11:25am, from the security officer at the US Embassy.  The firemen and de-miners hurried to the site. It was revealed that a signal was received while checking Chevrolet and Ford vehicles.

The cars were checked by police dogs. The dust from cars was taken for laboratory analysis. However, vehicles will not be used until the study is completed.
