TEHRAN. – An earthquake was recorded Thursday in Iran.

The epicenter of the tremor was located nearby Kish Island of the Hormozgān Province, informs the official website of the Seismological Service Center of the University of Tehran Institute of Geology.    

The underground jolts measured magnitude 4.3, and their hypocenter was 16 kilometers beneath the surface.

The quake occurred 27 kilometers away from Kish Island. 

There is no information on any casualties or devastation.
