YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday issued a message of condolence on the passing of renowned director, Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema Rector Armen Mazmanyan.

“With his innovative approach, Armen Mazmanyan greatly contributed to the development of the Armenian theatric art. His abilities as a skilled organizer were manifested at their best.

“He [also] participated in the defense of the homeland and in the social processes taking place in Armenia,” President Sargsyan’s condolence message reads, in particular.
