STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission will conduct a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

The monitoring will be held Wednesday, and in the northern direction of the Kuropatkino settlement of the NKR Martuni Region.

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring will be conducted by field assistants Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria) and Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic) of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, and by Peter Svedberg, staff member of the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

The NKR authorities have expressed their readiness to assist in conducting the monitoring and to ensure the security of the OSCE Mission members.
