Residents of Azerbaijani-populated villages of Georgia expressed discontent at gasification of Armenian-populated settlements ahead of the Azerbaijani ones.

They believe it is unfair, since the gas is supplied by Azerbaijan. In turn, SOCAR Georgia Director General Mahur Mamedov said the accusations are ungrounded, Gruziya Online reported.

“These are speculations. Gas networks in the villages do not belong to SOCAR. There is gasification problem in some Azerbaijani villages, but the gas network belongs to Georgian oil and gas corporation,” he said.
