OSCE will work hard to move forward settlement of the protracted conflict, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office said.

The new OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter spoke to the OSCE Permanent Council on Thursday and presented the priorities of the 2014 Swiss Chairmanship.

He said everyone should realize that progress may not come over night.  

Speaking about Karabakh conflict, Didier Burkhalter pointed at encouraging signs with resumption of high level contacts between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The incidents in the line of contact remain a matter of great concern,” he emphasized.

Burkhalter reiterates Swiss chairmanship’s supports for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, adding that they encourage contactсs between the civil societies of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
