YEREVAN. – Armenian Energy Minister said gas deal with Russia was the most beneficial option.

Talking to reporters on Thursday, Armen Movsisyan said “other opportunities would hardly be that beneficial”.

Minister noted that during talks the parties managed to agree on terms most advantageous for the Armenian consumers and country’s economy.

The Armenian-Russian gas agreement signed in December provide for lifting 30%-duty on gas supplies to Armenia. The gas price is set at $189 for five years.
