YEREVAN. – Armenia-Iran mutually beneficial relations continued in 2013 that was proved by the number of high level visits, says the report issued by foreign ministry.

On April 8 - 9 Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi paid a working visit to Yerevan and held meetings with President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. In addition, the Foreign Minister of Armenia and Iran held several meetings in the framework of international summits.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on August 5 participated in the inauguration of the newly elected president of Iran Hassan Rouhani.

During the year, the visits of co-chairs of the Armenian- Iranian intergovernmental commission, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan and Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian to Iran and Armenia were held.

On November 2-4 the delegates of Armenia- Iran parliamentary friendship group visited Tehran. During the year, other events involving political, legal and cultural sphereswere held.
