YEREVAN. – Road police representative said 142 car accidents have been registered in Armenia as of January 23.

According to the police data, 14 fatalities were registered from the beginning of the year. Another 217 people got injuries, chief of Armenia’s road police Norik Sargsyan told reporters on Thursday.

He assured that the data shows there is a trend of reduction as the number of fatalities decreased by 6 as compared with the same period last year.

Sargsyan noted that another 50 surveillance cameras will be installed in Yerevan and the regions.
