The driver of a Mercedes-Benz taxi lost control of the vehicle, Thursday evening on Armenia’s Vanadzor-Dilijan Highway; as a result, the car went off road and fell into a small canyon from about five meters.

Driver Ararat Adamyan, however, was able to jump out of the automobile and, fortunately, he remained alive. But he had sustained injuries and was subsequently hospitalized.  

According to preliminary data, the accident was caused by the lights of the oncoming vehicle.

An investigation is underway.
