The recent weeks showed that stability in Karabakh conflict zone is very fragile, Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick said in an interview with APA agency.

He said tension at the line of contact is hampering the process of talks. The diplomat believes it is necessary to make sure the parties trust each other in order to move forward.

James Warlick said he hopes the ceasefire agreement will be respected, especially taking into account the period of Olympic Games.

The mediators would like the parties to respect ceasefire and minimize the violence and casualties not only at the line of contact, but on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The diplomat said it is time to see peace in the region, adding that the conflict is an anchor that is pulling the region down.
