YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Sport and Youth Affairs Minister Yuri Vardanyan will travel to Sochi, to be on hand at the official opening of the 2014 Winter Olympics to be held in the Russia city. 

The minister will head to Sochi on the presidential plane, together with President Serzh Sargsyan, and Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman and National Olympic Committee of Armenia (ARMNOC) President, Gagik Tsarukyan, the Armenian News-NEWS.am sources have informed.  

ARMNOC Secretary  Hrachya Rostomyan had left for the Russian city earlier while Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan, who is also President of the Armenian Ski Federation, will travel to Sochi on Wednesday.

The 22nd Winter Olympics will be held from February 6 to 23.
