YEREVAN. – Armen Ashotyan, Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, on Friday received Oleksandr Pavlyuk, Head of the Council of Europe (CoE) Office in Yerevan, capital city of Armenia.  

Ashotyan underscored the cooperation with the CoE. He noted that the latter is a main partner of his ministry, specifically in the ongoing reforms in Armenia’s higher education, and in the introduction of the country’s national qualifications framework.      

In turn, Pavlyuk expressed the hope that, as a result of the joint efforts of both sides, the education sector will remain a priority. He specially stressed that Armenia’s recent chairmanship at the CoE was very productive. The Head of the CoE Office in Yerevan assured that he will make maximum efforts to assist in the effective implementation of the educational programs in the 2012-2014 Armenia-Council of Europe Action Plan.        

Armen Ashotyan and Oleksandr Pavlyuk also discussed several other educational matters and issues of public interest.
