YEREVAN. – The configuration of the problems, which stand before the South Caucasus, is changing in recent years.

Caucasus Institute Director and political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan noted the aforesaid at a press conference on Friday. 

He stressed that the Caucasus problems used to be internal in the past, but the situation is changing nowadays. As per the analyst, the present-day problems in the region are outside its boundaries and they are in Iran, Turkey, and Syria.       

According to Iskandaryan, what is happening with Turkey likewise is important. He noted that Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu’s “zero problems with neighbors” policy has failed.    

The political scientist added that there is a serious political tension in Turkey, and this country will be different in three or four years.  

Alexander Iskandaryan also underscored the current situation in Ukraine and in Syria.
