YEREVAN. – The Armenian market is open to the petroleum products of any country, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am

In his words, the agreement with the Russian Federation (RF), and with respect to importing petroleum products from the RF without customs duties, does not mean that other countries—especially, European—cannot import petroleum products to Armenia

“It is just that the agreement has created conditions for the expansion of the Russian product,” Movsisyan stated.

The minister added that there will be no discrimination in terms of imports from any other country.

Russia’s current share in Armenia’s petroleum product market is 30 percent. But Armenia does not import gasoline from Russia.
