The prices of the agricultural products of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, are quite higher than the international prices.

NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan stated the aforesaid Friday, at his talk with the Sos village residents of Artsakh.

But Harutyunyan added that, with state intervention, the NKR government sometimes succeeds in artificially keeping the prices high, so that the local producers would not suffer losses.

In the PM’s conviction, the problem is the insufficient level of yield, which does not enable the farmers to sell their produce with the actual prices.

Ara Harutyunyan called upon the villagers to aspire for productivity, and not the raising of the prices, especially since there is considerable government support this respect.
