Renowned Ukrainian political technologist Viktor Ukolov commented, on Facebook, on the statement by Ewald Stadler, Austrian member of the European Parliament, who had spoken on the need to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).    

As per Ukolov, Karabakh’s recognition should start from Russia, as the main country that impacts the regional situation.   

“Once Russia recognizes Karabakh, the other countries will be able to clarify their position on this matter,” Viktor Ukolov noted, AnalitikaUA.net informs.

Commenting on the possibility of resolving the Karabakh conflict without the participation of official Stepanakert, Stadler had noted: “The EU and the countries of this union must to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as a sovereign state. For this reason, I plan to form an Austria-NKR Friendship Group in Austria.”
